Update

Due to difficulties obtaining the original typescripts, Solaris have had to put their two-volume omnibus reprint of Paul Kearney's excellent Monarchies of God series on hold for the time being. I imagine this means the two books will now be coming out some time next year. More news as it happens.

Orbit USA are reprinting Peter F. Hamilton's superlative Night's Dawn Trilogy in the USA in their original one-volume formats. Previous US editions of the trilogy have been broken into two books apiece due to their extreme lengths, but in October, December and February respectively, American readers can finally pick up The Reality Dysfunction, The Neutronium Alchemist and The Naked God, respectively, as they were intended to be read.

George RR Martin's classic story of horror on the Mississippi, Fevre Dream, has been republished in a new, non-Fantasy Masterworks edition in the UK by Gollancz. GRRM's best completed work, I would recommend this book to everyone reading this blog.

Currently reading: The Doomsday Book by Connie Willis; A Game of You by Neil Gaiman.
Currently playing: Rome: Total War.
Currently watching: Edge of Darkness.

I think the dates for the Hamilton books are actually:

Reality Dysfunction - 10/08/2008
Neutronium Alchemist - 12/10/2008
The Naked God - 2/11/2009

How are you liking Doomsday Book? I really enjoyed it when I read it a few years ago.

It's very good. Hoping to finish it before the weekend.

That's weird. Either they just changed the dates on Amazon or I completely misread the dates earlier on. I vote for option B.

That does seem lame though. I people pick up the first book and like it, they can still just go out and get the earlier editions. Doesn't seem to make sense to wait two months between each volume.
